Luckily, all of these things have simple solutions and can be avoided — as long as you know what to do in-advance. Here is how to overcome these obstacles when creating your Aliexpress dropshipping store.
#1: How to Not Get Banned on PayPal
Everyone has heard the horror stories of people having their PayPal accounts banned and losing tens of thousands of dollars. It’s key when dropshipping to avoid having your PayPal account being banned.
A lot of people say that PayPal “doesn’t like dropshipping” — but this simply isn’t true. What PayPal doesn’t like is it’s customers being lied to or tricked to.
And we regularly see new dropshippers being shady when it comes to one thing in particular… the long shipping times.
New dropshippers assume that they’ll need to not be honest when it comes to the shipping times to make sales. But this isn’t true. Long shipping times don’t affect conversion rates as much as you’d think — what they do affect is how much customer support you need to provide.
It is very important that you are upfront with customers and set their expectations clearly in the beginning, because this is the biggest reason for PayPal disputes — and it is PayPal disputes that will get your account frozen and banned.
Here is what we recommend you do to be upfront about the long shipping times:
1) Add a disclaimer that shipping will take 2-4 weeks in the product page, and BOLD it.
2) Add a disclaimer in the customer confirmation email. Be clear it will be 2-4 weeks before it arrives and to please be patient.
Being honest is the key to winning PayPal disputes. Losing disputes is how your account will be banned, and your money frozen.
#2: How to Avoid Getting Chargebacks
Credit card companies allow customers to do a chargeback if they have been the victim of a fraudulent transaction. If you are shown to have fraudulently charged them, that is very serious.
There are two main reasons that customers claim chargebacks on Aliexpress dropshipping stores:
1) They don’t recognize the transaction on their credit card statement.
2) They are unhappy about something — usually the long shipping times.
The first is very easy to avoid. If you are using Shopify, when setting up Shopify Payments, make sure you have the name of your store in the Statement Descriptor box.
The second is trickier. Again, you’ll get a LOT less chargebacks if you are upfront and honest with the customer about them. Be sure to set the expectation up front.
But no matter what — any business that is dealing with credit cards should be expecting chargebacks. That is another reason why it’s very important to be upfront with the customer from the beginning with shipping times. If you were upfront, then you should easily win as you can provide proof they knew what they were purchasing:

You can link them to your product page with your clear disclaimer.
You can provide screenshots of the page with the disclaimer.
You can send a copy of the customer confirmation email, outlining shipping times.
In addition, if you use ePacket as your shipping option (which we strongly recommend) you’ll have a tracking number you can provide to show the package is on-route to the customer.
But no matter what, chargebacks are a paid. So there is something else I strongly recommend that you do…
You encourage communication between you and the customer. In your follow-up emails, stress that if they are having any problems, to please contact you immediately. This way, you talk to and calm any upset customers before they attempt to do a PayPal dispute or a chargeback.
#3: How to Handle Refunds when Aliexpress Dropshipping
We strongly recommend that you have a strict refund policy in place that only allows refunds for items that are faulty or broken. Do not allow refunds for people that have simply changed their minds.
In addition, protect yourself by creating a page that has your refund policy on it, and link to it in the store footer. That way, it will be on every page in your store so customers don’t have an excuse for not having read it.
Remember: there are solutions to every challenge and every stumbling block. With research and common sense, you can overcome anything. Successful, rich individuals see these challenges as opportunities. What will you choose to see them as?

I did meet aliexpress on internet maybe two years ago and was closely following its behavior for a while before making a trade with them since I have always heard about the risk of making business with China. After I see they qualify their merchants with certifications, they have a feedback content and they launched their scrow system, I thought wow! this place has became a safe and wonderful tool for retail so, I made my first order from a merchant who appeared to be a certified gold member with more than a hundred trades, 95% positive feedback, all perfect to fit my needs.

I bought a case of Kingston flash drives for retail. After I received them everything looked perfect and I tried one but not all, as I got them for retail and needed them in their original package. Since everything looked fine, I release the payment but for my surprise, after I have sold 5, I had 3 devolutions. The problem with those flash drives is that beside are defective product, they format them to make them appear as they were high capacity when the true is that just have less than 1gb so, when you intend to use all the fake capacity, the flash drive get blocked and you can not access your information once again.

At that time and following the aliexpress advice, I contacted the seller just to received an email with an apologize. Then I sent more than four emails without response so, I told them I will start a Paypal dispute. The day after, the merchant disappeared from aliexpress webpage and nobody respond for my money. Paypal said I had to complain with my credit card, my credit card made me send the merchandise back to china, gave me a temporary refund while they investigate, after 2 months the money was debited from my account again because alibaba declined to make a refund and I even lost the shipping and a fee I had to pay my credit card for a foreign transaction. jajaja! thanks God I learned a lesson and it could be expensiver.

I ordered a brazzilan wig from them. the inches were right BUT it was pretty thin. (no tracks ws shown) but I couldn’t layer it for fear of thinning it further. THEN whn I washed it color was coming (black) out in the sink water. so im like ok. this is SUPPOSED to be virgin hair . also the hair was coarse.

Неа у тебя ещё ничего. У меня один раз папа купил новые брюки, новые ботинки (все черное) красота неимоверная. Сидит вобщем сам на себя не нагляится, а я штрих купила (сделан в виде ручки надавливаешь на него он выливается), ну вот и открыть не могу говорю папа помоги. Ну папа и помог доче со всей дури дернув его в разные стороны, ботинки теперь только на огород, брюки тоже, а на футболке тоже миленькое пятнышко, но в ней хоть дома ходить можно. Делюсь личным опытом по покупке дешевых товаров из Китая. Надеюсь, вам он пригодится.

АлиЭкспресс (AliExpress )крупнейший интернет-магазин Китая.

Здесь можно купить товары в розницу и мелким оптом. Самое замечательное то, что совсем недавно этот торговый гигант сделал доставку до России и по России абсолютно бесплатной. Мало того, что стоимость большинства товаров гораздо ниже стоимости товаров в местных магазинах, но теперь еще и за доставку платить не надо. Просто приходите на почту с извещением о посылке и забираете свою покупку. Без какой-либо доплаты.

Итак. Что предлагает АлиЭкспресс?

Это всевозможные товары для жизни – одежда для детей и взрослых, товары для дома, электроника, игрушки, товары для хобби и творчества, галантерея, украшения и много-много всего остального.

Как покупать на АлиЭкспрессе?

Здесь я постараюсь максимально подробно описать всю процедуру покупки.

Что вам надо знать перед покупкой:

1. Основной язык этого магазина – английский, что вполне понятно – он ориентирован на международную торговлю. Можно пользоваться он-лайн переводами на ваш язык или русифицированной версией сайта. Этот вариант годится для тех, кто ну совсем не знает английский язык. Если же вы хоть немного понимаете по-английски, все же рекомендую пользоваться оригинальной английской версией, т.к. автоматический перевод на русский получается довольно корявым, в том числе в русифицированной версии.

2. Магазин по своей сути представляет торговую площадку, где расположено очень много маленьких магазинчиков от разных производителей. Поэтому схема взаимоотношений между покупателями и продавцами выглядит вот так: Покупатель выбирает товар. Оплачивает. — > Деньги поступают в АлиЭкспресс (не самому продавцу)-> продавец видит факт оплаты товара. При необходимости согласовывает с покупателем модель, цвет и прочие характеристики товара. Отправляет товар. Сообщает покупателю номер трек-кода, по которому можно отследить передвижение товара по почте. -> Покупатель получает товар. Как видите, процесс покупки полностью защищен, и шанс попасть на непорядочного продавца приближается к нулю.

3. Вы можете заказать хоть одну единицу товара, которая придет вам бесплатно. Даже, если это будет батарейка для часов. Правда, у некоторых продавцов есть рекомендуемый минимум заказа – об этом всегда написано на странице продаваемого товара.

А теперь купим товар пошагово:

На главной странице видим различные скидки, супер-предложения и прочие вкусности, которые приготовил нам сайт сегодня. Акции и распродажи здесь проходят регулярно, особенно часто встречается акция скидок выходного дня.

Слева висит меню категорий товаров. Если нужной категории не видите, то нажмите на фразу View All Categories (показать все категории). Перед вами предстанет огромный список категорий товаров. Выбирайте, что душе угодно.

Второй путь – просто набрать в поисковой строке название нужного товара (по-английски). Стоит помнить, что продавцы по-разному могут описать свой товар. Например, если ищете изделия из натуральной кожи, то нужно искать его по фразам genuine leather и real leather. В каждом случае результат поиска будет разным. Пользуйтесь синонимами.

Когда выбрали нужную категорию, отсейте все «лишние» товары с помощью фильтра – Free shipping (вы же хотите бесплатную доставку, не так ли?). Ставим галочку в этом квадратике. Еще можете включить фильтр Show Retail Only (только розничные товары), если вам нужна вещь в одном экземпляре, например, телефон. Если же вы берете носки, то, конечно, лучше этот фильтр не включать, т.к. вряд ли вы остановитесь на одной паре, а мелкий опт из 5 или 10 пар брать выгоднее, чем поштучно. Вообще, здесь очень удобная система фильтрации и сортировки, в зависимости от выбранной категории товаров. Смотрите, пробуйте разные варианты.

Далее открывайте страницу товара. Если не включали фильтр по розничной продаже, то обращайте внимание на минимальное количество для покупки. Замечено, что один и тот же товар у одного и того же продавца в одном и том же количество может продаваться по разной цене! Поэтому, имеет смысл заранее отсортировать товары по цене. Если вы уже созрели для покупки, то очень рекомендую прочитать всю информацию на странице выбранного товара во избежание огорчений.

Обратите внимание на отзывы в самом низу станицы (не всегда есть). Наличие хотя бы одного отрицательного отзыва говорит о многом. Если вы даже не собираетесь брать этот товар, а хотите его просто запомнить или сравнить с другими, рекомендую положить его в корзину, т.к. иначе вы его просто потеряете в огромном ассортименте магазина. Добавление в корзину не заставляет еще его выкупать.

Переходим в корзину.

Товары в корзине сгруппированы по продавцам. В строке нужного товара (группы товаров) нажимаете на кнопку (купить все от этого продавца). Появится окно регистрации/авторизации.

Если вы здесь впервые, то на вкладке регистрации заполните необходимые поля – адрес электронной почты (это будет ваш логин), имя и фамилию (обязательно полные, по-английски. Если заполните неправильно, то вам на почте просто не отдадут вашу посылку.) , пароль 2 раза и проверочный код с картинки.

Далее переходим к оплате. Вообще, вы можете оплату отложить на потом, но если не оплатите в течение определенного времени, заказ будет отменен. Также, если оплата не поступила, продавец не будет отгружать товар. Я вижу только один вариант, когда оплату не нужно делать сразу – это когда вы при переписке с продавцом договариваетесь изменить способ доставки с бесплатного на платный (более быстрый) или наоборот. Т.е., когда цена может быть изменена. Если же это не предвидится, то оплату рекомендую провести сразу же. Способ оплаты выбирайте сами.

При первом заказе требуется заполнить адрес доставки. Пишите его по-английски транслитом. Если сами не умеете – в любом он-лайн переводчике есть такая функция транслитерации.

После оплаты ваш заказ считается оформленным. Теперь ждите отгрузки. Отправка товаров происходит не сразу же, а по истечении определенного срока – он обычно указан на странице товара. Тем более, часто сам платеж подтверждается в системе в течение некоторого времени. У меня в последнее время банк переводит деньги не быстрее 1-2 дней. Так что наберитесь терпения и ждите. Через несколько дней товар будет отправлен, и вам на почту придет трек-код, по которому вы можете отследить посылку в почтовых системах. В среднем, посылка идет от 15 до 45 дней (если отправлена обычной почтой).

Из всех покупок, которые были мною совершены в АлиЭкпрессе, только одна оказалась неудачной – как потом оказалось, она потерялась на почте в Китае. Продавец в течение пары дней с момента обращения вернул мне всю предоплату.

The seller did not responded to me and did not shipped the item in shipping time. I extended for some period but they neither sent the item nor responded. I have nowhere to to submit my complaint. I am used 50$ coupon which Aliexpress gave at 11.11 but its Expired now, because of the seller. I cant report seller to anywhere if he choses to not to send the item. I contacted with Customer Care numerous times, but they could not helped me. They first tell me the item will be shipped surely but it was not, then to report the seller but Aliexpress replied me as category is wrong, then they said that my coupon will be returned but it is Expired at the time item is closed, then customer care said that they will contact the seller and get myitem shipped but they did not contacted and get my item shipped. None of the above was true, and I contacted them again and again. Lastly they said that they’ll report this subject to higher staff and they will reply tome within a day, they replied as coupon is Expired and nothing to do. So, if you want to shop from Aliexpress, be aware of they will notback you up, if seller chooses not to send your item. They have no option for you to report the seller, or tell customers that sellerdoes not ship items. You cant warn someone, or report the seller.
And there is a posibility that Aliexpress do this, because they gave enormous coupon at the last hours of 11.11 They maybe wanted to get their total sell sum to a higher score, and they gave a lot of $50 coupons/over $100. Then they tell some sellers(especially orders with only 1 items) to not to ship the order. I dont know if this is right, but it is a possibility.

I’ve purchased a lot of stuff from Aliexpress over the last two years. A lot. I have only had a few problems. Complaints are sent directly to the vendor, and most will resolve the issue via refund or replacement. I ran into two vendors that gave me nothing but email promises. One was a company called “pickitup”; it was a $2 item, they said they would send a replacement but never did and just gave me more promises every time I emailed them. I gave up and just wrote it off. Later I ran into a company called “Aisiteru Ann”. The item in question was a USB microscope and it would not produce an image. They kept telling me to use a different PC, a different version of Windows, they gave me links to various microscope/webcam software, and so on. Neither I nor any of my friends could get it to work. The cost was over $10 so I filed a complaint with Aliexpress customer service. They sided with the vendor and gave me nothing! Aliexpress is the main reason that I voted for Donald Trump!

I received a defective item from one of their sellers, We had a lot of back and forth in which the seller denied there was an issue, ultimately the seller’s only solution was for me to ship back the defective merchandise to China at my expense for a refund of the original purchase price only. This would have meant I would have been out close to $20 US for shipping. I eventually had to escalate this and have Ali Express arbitrate a solution. I was refunded 12% which I thought was unacceptable I wanted a new properly functioning item without paying anything more for it. I have purchased other small things from other Ali Express sellers and had no issues. I will never buy anything from Ali Express for more than $20 US total because that is the most I’m willing to risk on their poor return and exchange policies. Read the fine print, none of their sellers offer return shipping for defective merchandise.

I had purchased a few things on Aliexpress in the middle of February days before the CNY holiday. My parcels are still saying goods awaiting shipment. Why couldn’t the suppliers ship my parcels before they left for the CNY holiday? Now I have to wait longer than what I should be waiting. Few years ago I started buying on this site, and I love it!
The prices are really cheap and I always got all the goods, obviously waiting for a bit of time (one month to nearly two ones, and I’m talking about dozens and dozens of orders). However, if the goods do not arrive within the time limit set out, you can ask for a refund.
